Women in Rail North West is delighted to be hosting the Mental Wealth Café in Manchester on 28 November 2019, sponsored by the team at Fission Rail who have kindly provided the venue for the event.  We will hear from four speakers, all covering aspects of ‘mental wellbeing’ … a subject which is increasingly in focus in the Rail industry and beyond.

Wendy McCristal is Director of The Mental Wealth Company, and the Founder of the Mental Wealth Café concept … and she is on a mission to start a million conversations about mental health at work this year!  Wendy will kick off our event by sharing her own experiences of learning about the importance of looking after yourself and some of her own techniques for increasing your mental wealth.

Neil Franklin, Head of Skills Intelligence at NSAR will talk us through the impact of mental health on productivity at work, followed by Mike Roberts, Railway Chaplain who will explain his role on the railway and how this supports our colleagues on a day to day basis.

And last but certainly not least, Transpennine Express Customer Service Manager, Vicky Snell will inspire us with her own story of dealing with the amputation of her leg, and how she manages her mental wellbeing on an ongoing basis.

There will be time for questions, and of course for some networking!  Drinks and nibbles will be provided – again, with our thanks to Alan and his team at Fission Rail.

Please register below to attend.  You will receive a confirmation email after registration and again a couple of days prior to the event. Please advise of any accessibility needs, and specific dietary requirements.
