About the role
As an integral part of our revenue management team, providing accurate analysis and insights to the business and stakeholders, helping to inform decision making and support our vision of revaluing rail in the hearts and minds of the travelling public.

As an Analysis and Insights Manager you will lead a high performing team to deliver strategic insights and data driven solutions, empowering the business and key stakeholders to make informed decisions that drive commercial success.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Drive the professional development of team members through coaching, feedback, and performance management.
- Produce and ensure the delivery of high-quality, accurate, and timely analysis, aligning outputs with business goals and strategic priorities.
- Prioritise and manage the team’s workload, ensuring efficient execution of multiple, concurrent projects.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the analytics team and senior business stakeholders, ensuring the team conducts value adding analysis.
- Providing support and/or technical expertise to the wider team as necessary
- Collaborating on industry groups bringing learnings and best practice into the team.
- Able to prioritise between competing tasks by quickly assessing complexity and business value.

As a minimum, you will need to have:
- A degree or equivalent in a numerical subject.
- GCSE Maths and English grade A-C.
You will:
Knowledge
- Railway operations and passenger demand, including drivers of demand change, pricing and revenue managements approaches, customer behaviours and needs and ways a business can cater to these, railway commercial issues. You will also have knowledge on range of analytical tools and approaches employed in a commercial setting
- You will have advanced working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, and a knowledge of rail commercial data and systems (including data warehouse). You will have extensive knowledge of advanced data analytics.
- Have a strong understanding of business processes across departments and how data drives decision-making.
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to translate complex data into clear business insights. Articulate and able to communicate and influence with various departments and across all levels up to and including board level.
- Detail oriented, ensuring accuracy.
- Time management and work prioritisation skills.
Experience
- Experience with business intelligence software and working with large data sets.
- Working in rail or service sector industry.
- Experienced at leading or managing a team of analysts to draw actionable and meaningful insight from disparate data sets.
- Proven ability to collaborate with senior executives and influence business strategy through data.
