What is the deadline for nominations?

The deadline to place nominations for the Women in Rail Awards 2027 is 17:00, Friday 29 January 2027.

Does my offline entry have to be submitted in Microsoft Word?

Nominations placed via the offline entry form for the Women in Rail Awards will be accepted in Word or PDF format.
Please note that the same word limits apply.

Can I attach supporting documents and if so, how many?

Your nomination may include no more than 2 additional pages (A4) as supporting evidence, but please be advised that these additional documents will only be taken into consideration by the Judges if your nominee is shortlisted – we would therefore encourage you to put your stronger arguments in favour of your nominee in the nomination form.

After all, a winning entry is one that is carefully and meticulously prepared! Images must be high-resolution or equivalent to 300 dpi. Additional supportive material must be submitted to the Women in Rail Awards team at WRAwards@nimblemedia.co.uk via www.wetransfer.com.

What is your confidentiality policy for award nominations?

All material will remain confidential to the Judges. Details of the Winners and Highly Commended will be published on the website after the event.

Judging will commence in February 2027.

When will I be notified if I am shortlisted?

Should you be successfully shortlisted, you will be notified no later than Friday 2 April 2027.

Where will the Women in Rail Awards be held?

The Women in Rail Awards 2027 will take place at Old Billingsgate, 1 Old Billingsgate Walk, London EC3R 6DX. The closest Underground station is Monument, served by the District and Circle lines, approximately a four-minute walk from the venue. Bank Underground and DLR station is around a nine-minute walk away. The nearest mainline stations are London Fenchurch Street, London Cannon Street and London Bridge, approximately seven, nine and 12 minutes’ walk respectively.

There is no on-site parking at Old Billingsgate. The closest car park is Tower Hill Corporation of London Car and Coach Park, 50 Lower Thames Street, London EC3R 6DT, approximately 250 metres or a four-minute walk from the venue. The car park includes 13 designated disabled bays.

I have been shortlisted for an award, do I need a ticket?

Yes, we are afraid you do. All attendees must pre-book and purchase their tickets in advance, so the exact number of attendees is known to us at all times.

I have been shortlisted for an award, is there a badge I can use to promote?

Shortlisted Nominees will receive a badge via email to use in their own promotions. If you have not received this, please contact WRAwards@nimblemedia.co.uk

Q:

How many people does a table accommodate? Do I have to purchase a full table?

We can accommodate tables of 10 or 12. It is not necessary to purchase a full table; individual seat bookings are also accepted.

Q:

How can I pay for my ticket(s), table(s) or sponsorship?

Payments can be made by cheque or bank transfer.

The Event Organiser will raise an invoice for the agreed amount 14 working days after the booking is made.

Where the booking is made within 14 working days of the published final cancellation deadline, Thursday 11 February 2027, the Event Organiser reserves the right to raise an invoice for due amounts before 14 working days.

The Buyer shall pay all fees stated on the invoice.

Invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Should a PO be required, the Buyer will provide it at the earliest opportunity.

Time for payment shall be of the essence.

The Event Organiser may suspend or withdraw attendance rights, sponsorship benefits or event access where invoices remain unpaid.

Q:

Who do I notify if one of my guests has special dietary requirements or a disability?

Prior to the event, all table/booking organisers will receive joining instructions in which they will be requested, amongst other things, to specify any dietary or special requirements. Please complete and return the form to us as instructed. Please note that all joining instructions must be returned to us (and received by us) four weeks prior to the event (Thursday 8 April 2027). Should you be unable to attend the event, substitute guests are always welcome at no extra charge.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing, either by email or post, quoting the booking reference.

Cancellations within 14 days of invoice date shall receive a refund less a 15% administration charge.

Thereafter, a 50% refund applies until the final cancellation deadline.

After the published final cancellation deadline, Thursday 11 February 2027, no refund shall be due, and 100% of fees shall remain payable.

The Buyer acknowledges that these charges represent a genuine pre-estimate of losses and are not a penalty.

Q:

If we win, are we able to receive more than one trophy?

Unfortunately not, but you will be able to purchase additional trophies after the event. All you will need to do is email us at WRAwards@nimblemedia.co.uk for more details.
