Women in Rail held its second award ceremony, on the evening of Wednesday 15 May 2019, at the historic Roundhouse in Camden. The evening was hosted by Rachel Riley, Television Presenter and STEM Ambassador.

The Women in Rail Awards aim to showcase and reward individuals and companies (large or small) who have made a significant contribution to improving gender balance, diversity and inclusion in the UK railway industry.

In the 3 months the nomination process was open, the Women in Rail team received over 360 nominations. Establishing the shortlists and choosing the winners was a very difficult task for the judges, as the calibre of the men, women, teams and companies put forward were again, this year, truly exceptional.
