Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: Starting at £27,825.31 and rising to £32,664.49 after probation

Hours: 35-hour week, shift-based (including nights and weekends)

Annual Leave: 36 days (pro-rata)

As a Materials Handler based at the Liverpool Kirkdale Depot, this role reports into the Stores Supervisor. As a Materials Handler you will be working within a warehouse environment to efficiently move, handle, and store a variety of materials. Key responsibilities include tracking inventory, accurately recording orders, and ensuring merchandise is stored in the correct locations to support an organised and effective operation. Processing in-bound and out bound orders, packing key components adequately for supply chain and ensuring security of the extensive inventory. The role is a shift-based position.

In this dynamic role, you’ll be responsible for verifying the accuracy of incoming deliveries, ensuring both quantity and quality meet expectations. Every product will be carefully identified and placed in its designated location to maintain a well organised warehouse environment.

As a Materials Handler, you’ll work in a warehouse environment to:

• Move, handle, and store materials efficiently
• Track inventory and record orders accurately
• Process inbound and outbound deliveries
• Pack components securely for the supply chain
• Maintain warehouse organisation and equipment
• Handle returns and resolve delivery issues
• Monitor stock levels and communicate purchasing needs

Essential
• Knowledge of operating other warehouse machinery
• Data entry, maths and computer skills
• Physically able as manual handling is a daily part of the role
• Effective leadership and team management skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent self-motivated to meet the demands of shift and weekend operations

Desirable
• Certification in forklift operation
