We are Central route. We are the Heart of Britain’s Railway. More than a million people rely on us every week, and we help transport nearly a million tonnes of freight every month. About the role
What will you be doing?
As a route support assistant you will assist in the preparation of the Route business plan and reporting on business performance, programmes of work and improvement initiatives
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a route support assistant wo will support the smooth running of route operations by helping to prepare business plans, compile periodic reports, and coordinate delivery unit reviews. You’ll track actions, assist with investment proposals and business cases, manage approvals, and produce progress reports on key programmes of work.
In order to be successful in this role, we would like you to have/to be:
- Knowledge of business planning, commercial and financial management processes and techniques.
- Good analytical skills
- Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisation skills
It’s not mandatory to have the below, but it would be desirable to have:
- Experience in maintenance management, processes and techniques
- Knowledge of operational railway environment.
