Women in Rail held a Networking Skills workshop on Wednesday 28th September at the Museum of Science and Industry.
The workshop was sponsored by Alstom Transport and was an interactive session led by a company called “Funny Women”.
During the workshop, everybody was asked to challenge their inhibitions, using body language and humour, to present themselves in a more confident, relaxed, authentic style to suit today’s modern business environment. Through practical exercises, everybody learnt to find their voices and use humour effectively in every areas of their lives, not just in business, to break the ice and network efficiently.
The workshop was followed by a wine challenge lead by Richard Household from Brompton Wine.
We would like to say a massive thank you to our sponsors and to everybody who attended the event.
