Finding The Right Track

On Thursday 29th March we hosted a ‘finding the right track’ event to provide insight into worker rights, including pensions and leave.

The topics covered included:

  • Savings and investments
  • Pensions
  • The effect of a career break and/or moving jobs
  • Flexible working hours
  • Maternity/Paternity leave
  • Carers rights.

The attendees came from a variety of roles across the rail industry, including operations, HR, bid management and directors. We even had our youngest ever attendee – a ten-week-old baby!

The discussions following each presentation gave forum for strong opinions, particularly around the benefits of flexible working and what this could look like in the future.

This was a really interesting event with two fantastic speakers. A big thank you to everyone who attended, to Morson for hosting the event, and to our speakers – Kate Thurman from Coutts and Sarah O’Brien from BBS Law.
