The Women in Rail Awards will be held on Wednesday 6 May 2020.
When can I start nominating for the Women in Rail Awards?
You can start nominating for the Women in Rail Awards from Friday 18 October 2019.
How do I nominate?
Nominations are completely free-of-charge. You may nominate in as many categories as you like (a guide on hints and tips can be found here).
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have obtained the necessary internal approvals prior to submitting the nomination form and that the information contained in your nomination form is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge as this information will be relied on by the Judges when making their selection.
There are three ways to nominate the awards:
- Online Nominations: Please complete the online nomination form found here
- Nominations by Email: Please email your nomination (including up to a maximum of 2 documents to complement your submission) together with a duly completed and signed Entry Form to: WRAwards@nimblemedia.co.uk. You will receive an acknowledgement by email within 5 working days. Please let us know promptly if your entry has not been acknowledged within this timeline.

What is the deadline for nominations?
Nominations will close on Wednesday 19 February 2020. After this date, you will no longer be able to nominate for the Women in Rail Awards 2020.
Does my entry have to be submitted in Microsoft Word?
Can I attach supporting documents and if so, how many?
There is a two (2) document limit to the amount of information you can supply with your nomination. After all, a winning entry is one that is carefully and meticulously prepared! Images must be high resolution or equivalent to 300dpi. If you are considering supplying a large amount of supportive material, we would recommend that you submit it addressed to Nimble Media Ltd; sending to WRAwards@nimblemedia.co.uk via www.wetransfer.com.
What is your confidentiality policy for award nominations?
All material will remain confidential to the Judges. Details of any Winners and Highly Commended will be published on the website after the event.
When does the judging take place?
Judging will commence in following the nomination closure on Friday 7 February 2020.
When will I be notified if I am nominated?
Should you be successfully shortlisted, you will be notified no later than Friday 3 April 2020.
Where will the Women in Rail Awards be held?
The Women in Rail Awards will take place at the Roundhouse in Camden, London. The closest underground station is Chalk Farm Underground station (150m walk); the venue is also accessible via Camden Town Underground and Kentish Town West Overground stations (both 850m walk). The closest car park is Q-Park St John’s Wood (NW8 6AA) a 20-minute walk from the venue. There is limited parking for Blue Badge holders (for customers with a disability). Spaces are offered on a first come first served basis and can be reserved by emailing email@example.com.
What is the programme for the evening?
18.30 – Champagne reception
19.30 – Dinner
21.00 – Awards Ceremony
22:00 – Music & Dance
01:00 – Carriages

What is the dress code for the awards?
The dress code for the Women in Rail Awards is Black Tie and Evening Dress.
I have been shortlisted for an award, do I need a ticket?
Yes, we are afraid you do. All attendees must pre-book and purchase their tickets in advance so the exact number of attendees is known to us at all times.
How many people does a table accommodate? do I have to purchase a full table?
We can accommodate tables of 10 or 12, though it is not necessary to purchase a full table. Individual seat bookings are also accepted.
How can I pay for my ticket(s), table(s) or sponsorship?
Payments can be made by cheque or bank transfer.
Within 24 hours of your booking being made, you will receive an email from us acknowledging your booking and confirming that your payment has been received. If you do not receive any such acknowledgment and confirmation, please call us immediately on +44 (0) 1780 432 930.
Are there any sponsorship opportunities?
Who do I notify if one of my guests has special dietary requirements or a disability?
Prior to the event, all attendees will receive joining instructions where they will be requested, amongst other, to specify any dietary or special requirements. All you have to do is complete and return the form to us as instructed. Please note that all joining instructions will have to be returned to (and received by) us three weeks prior to the event (Wednesday 15 April 2020). Thereafter, charges may apply, and we may not be able to accommodate any of your (or your guests’) specific requirements.
What is your cancellation policy?
Any cancellations whether for ticket(s), table(s) or sponsorship(s) must be received by us in writing, if by post, at the following postal address Women in Rail Awards 2020, c/o Nimble Media Ltd, Unit 6, Old Station Yard, Ashwell, Rutland LE15 7SP or, if by email, at WRAwards@nimblemedia.co.uk.
If your cancellation is received within the first 14 days following the date (inclusive) of our email acknowledging your booking and confirming your payment, you will be entitled to a full refund.
If your cancellation is received on a date falling 14 days after the date (inclusive) of our email acknowledging your booking and confirming your payment, you will be entitled to a 50% refund.
Regardless of the above, if your cancellation is received after Wednesday 12 February 2020, you will not be entitled to any refund and any outstanding invoices due will require full payment.
In the event that the Women in Rail Awards 2020 is cancelled, you will receive a full refund of any monies paid. However, no refund will be given and no liability will be accepted for any travelling, accommodation or other expenses you incur as a result of such cancellation.
These Terms and Conditions (and any non-contractual obligations arising from them) shall be governed by the laws of England and the English Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute in relation thereof. Nimble Media Limited shall not be liable for the cancellation or rescheduling of the event if the same is caused by an event or events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorist attacks or threats, strikes or labour disputes, embargoes, government orders or any other event traditionally qualified at law as an event of /or “force majeure”.
Please note that if you elect to make your booking via telephone, you will automatically be accepting to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
We reserve the right to alter the content, timings or venue for the event where necessary. Should we have to move the event to another venue we will not accept responsibility for travel, accommodation or other costs which may be incurred by you as a result thereof and in such circumstances the normal cancellation restrictions mentioned above will apply. You will always receive an acknowledgement of your booking. If you do not receive any such acknowledgement, please call us on +44 (0) 1780 432 930 to make sure we have received your booking.
If we win, are we able to receive more than one trophy?
Unfortunately not, but you will be able to purchase additional trophies after the event. All you will need to do is email us at WRAwards@nimblemedia.co.uk for more details.
