East Midlands – Leadership Change

24th October 2018

Dear Women in Rail Members,

Following a change in role at Bombardier Transportation which has resulted in increased work commitments and travel, I have decided to step down from my role as Leader of the East Midlands Chapter of Women in Rail.

It has been a pleasure to support this chapter for the past 2 years. We have run some fantastic events and created a powerful network. First target was to double membership, and as of today, it has grown 3 fold – from @100 to @300. Thank you to the Committee for their efforts in planning and making events happen, to sponsors for their funding, and all members for coming along and supporting us..

I am delighted to hand over my role to my Vice Chair Sarah Reid. This change has been approved by Adeline Ginn and the board of Women in Rail and is effective immediately.

Over the coming months, Sarah will work with the committee to continue to grow the Chapter, and will offer opportunities for members to join the committee and secure key roles.

I will continue to be a member and will see you all soon.

Regards,

Kristin Thorslund
