Role Overview:

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications & Public Relations, the Communications Manager will drive strategic communications across UK and Netherlands, creating locally relevant media content and managing internal channels. Lead social media engagement aligned with global branding, support crisis communications, and represent Stadler at key events. The successful applicant will also ensure transparent messaging to strengthen reputation and stakeholder trust while enhancing market visibility.

Main Goals:

To design and deliver communication strategies that strengthen both brand recognition externally and employee engagement and culture internally as well as align corporate messaging with organisational goals.

Personnel:
• Collaborate as part of a global matrix communications team to uphold a consistent “One-Stadler” voice across all markets, while tailoring messaging to the UK and Netherlands audience and cultural contexts.
• Expand social media presence by creating dynamic, interactive campaigns that drive engagement and showcase Stadler’s innovation and sustainability.
• Create engaging external campaigns that highlight Stadler’s innovation, sustainability, and culture.
• Partner with HR, business leaders, and key stakeholders to communicate effectively on feedback loops associated with culture change initiatives.
• Strengthen stakeholder engagement by building trusted relationships with employees, leadership, external partners, and community representatives.
• Act as a liaison with residents and neighbours of Stadler sites, ensuring proactive communication around projects, developments, and community impact, while addressing concerns and fostering positive relationships.

Organisational:
• Work within the UK and Netherlands territory to develop locally relevant content in main media and railway media.
• Develop and execute internal communication strategies across multiple channels (intranet, newsletters, town halls, digital platforms).
• Establish a regular rhythm of social media activity, ensuring alignment with global brand guidelines while reflecting local market priorities.
• Support in crisis communication and issue management, ensuring timely, transparent, and effective messaging to protect reputation and maintain stakeholder trust
• Attend and support key events (industry conferences, community forums, internal leadership gatherings) to represent Stadler and strengthen visibility.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, HR, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in journalism or corporate or employee communications.
• Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with digital comms tools (SharePoint, Teams, intranet platforms, filming with mobile phone, editing CapCut).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Strategic thinker with a creative edge and attention to detail.
