This opportunity focuses on providing skills-based coaching to young people aged 16 to 18 years. The opportunity asks for only one hour a month of a volunteers’ time across six months, running from January until June 2025. Training and onboarding available over the autumn months.
No prior experience necessary, as a comprehensive online training and onboarding process helps all volunteers establish pedagogical knowledge, confidence and access to our bespoke resources. All volunteers benefit from tailored on-going support from professional staff throughout their time on the programme, enabling them to be inspirational coaches for our young people.

You will lead the development and implementation of the route strategy and the route asset management plans, managing and directing the maintenance and renewals work banks, specifications and acceptance criteria.

In this role you will be working closely with the Supply Chain Operations Director to lead business transformation programmes which will enables Supply Chain Operations to successfully support each of Network Rail’s routes and regions.
The role will initially lead analysis to support our update of the train punctuality and reliability targets that we expect Network Rail to deliver from 2026-27 to 2028-29. Beyond this, the role will provide analytical support in preparation for future reviews of Network Rail’s outputs and outcomes across all areas of delivery, and considering the impact of rail reform.
