We are now recruiting for a Learning and Development Manager to develop and implement learning strategies and programmes that are aligned with MML’s objectives.

You will manage and develop the West Midlands Metro Training Academy to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and best practices.

In addition to this as our Learning and Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the L&D function and coordinate and action L&D administration activities.
  • Ensure mandatory and statutory training is done in a timely manner.
  • Mentor, develop, support and manage the L&D team and ensure the team is up to date with industry best practice.
  • To produce and sustain robust training materials.
  • Foster a robust learning environment that guides employees towards reaching their full potential.
  • Support succession planning requirements.
  • Drive a culture of continuous professional development.
  • Identify and seek funding opportunities that offer value for money within our training delivery.
  • Develop pioneering initiatives that focus on employee engagement, diversity, and organisational culture.

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have:

  • Experience in designing and delivering training and professional development.
  • Experience in using information learning technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience managing teams / staff.
  • Extensive understanding of training processes and practices.
  • Have demonstrable knowledge of ISO3001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 standard management systems.
  • Produce reports and analytics.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification (Level 5).It would be great if you had a teaching qualification and could evidence continuing personal and professional development.
