Location: Midland Metro Ltd, Wednesbury Depot, Potters Lane, WS10 0AR
Salary: £35,097 to £39,507 per annum, with further increases following the successful completion of the probation period.
Contract: Full-time, Permanent, 12-hour shifts – 4 on, 4 off
Overtime: Available

We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Your Role:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on systems such as mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Carry out corrective maintenance, identifying faults through advanced computer diagnostic systems and repairing accordingly.
  • Support the commissioning and testing of new trams as they join the fleet.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of all maintenance activities to support continual improvement efforts.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in mechanical and electrical fault finding on high-value, safety-critical systems. This could come from any relevant background: automotive, HGV/LGV, or engineering industries.
  • The ability to use diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot complex issues in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • A commitment to health and safety standards and an eye for detail.

Desirable (but not essential):

  • ONC or time-served apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical disciplines.
  • NVQ Level 3 in an engineering-related field.
