Help Transform Euston Station – Join Us as a Signalling & Telecoms Technician
Euston Station is changing — and you can be part of that transformation. As Network Rail delivers major upgrades to one of the UK’s busiest and most iconic stations, we’re looking for skilled and motivated Signalling & Telecoms Technicians to help keep the railway running safely, efficiently and reliably.
Working at the heart of this critical infrastructure, you’ll play a vital frontline role in maintaining, inspecting and fault-finding across our complex signalling and telecoms systems. Whether its ensuring signals operate flawlessly or keeping communication networks resilient, your work will help connect millions of passengers and keep Euston moving — every single day.
As a Technician, you’ll support your Team Leader in organising and motivating a specialist Signalling & Telecoms Infrastructure Maintenance team. You’ll ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently and to exacting standards, while developing your leadership skills by deputising for the Team Leader when required. That means setting up safe systems of work, checking quality, ensuring equipment and tools are fit for purpose, and making sure every team member is competent and supported.
This is a hands-on, safety-critical role — ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility, precision, and teamwork. Working days, nights and weekends in all weathers, you’ll take pride in knowing that what you do keeps the railway running and passengers safe.

- Knowledge of how to organise and control the safe and efficient delivery of work
- Strong communication skills, both in person and in writing
- Knowledge of discipline-specific maintenance, inspection, faulting and renewal techniques within signalling and/or telecoms
- Willing and able to work shifts in all weathers
- Meet the required benchmark for application screening questions
- Must meet required online testing benchmark
Desirable Criteria
- Hold or be working towards an NVQ Level 1 or 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (e.g. electrical, signalling, telecoms) or have equivalent relevant experience
- Able to lead, motivate and direct a team
- Willing and able to drive vehicles
This Signalling & Telecoms Technician role involves day, night and weekend working, and is classed as safety critical, meaning you’ll need to pass a medical assessment as well as drug and alcohol testing. You’ll also need to meet the required online testing benchmark to progress your application.
