Join the Women in Rail Scotland team and guest speaker Alex Hynes, Director General Rail Services at the Department for Transport, for our Autumn Lunch in Pitlochry.
The theme of the lunch is:
“Women in Rail: Are we being ambitious enough?”
Hosted at the scenic Port na Craig Restaurant in Pitlochry, this event offers a relaxed yet thought-provoking environment to explore how we can challenge the status quo and push for more ambition and inclusion in rail.
Guests will enjoy:
- A sit-down lunch of fish and chips, with a vegetarian option available
- A sticky toffee pudding dessert
- One complimentary glass of wine, beer, or soft drink
- Further drinks will be available to purchase at the bar
There will be time for informal networking, conversation, and enjoying the surroundings of beautiful Pitlochry. The event will finish at 3:00pm, leaving time to explore the town or enjoy a walk along the River Tummel.
If you have any dietary or accessibility requirements, please indicate them on the registration form or email: scotland@womeninrail.org
This event has been timed to coincide with rail arrivals and connections from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness.

West Coast Partnership Development (WCPD) is the Shadow Operator for HS2, designing new high-speed services as well as reshaping the West Coast Mainline intercity services. We work in partnership with the Department for Transport and HS2 Limited, and work closely with Network Rail, GBR, Avanti, and regional stakeholders.

Designed around the customer, our services will be easy, comfortable, and reliable, integrated into the wider national rail system to support seamless, connected journeys.
We will do this by keeping things simple, removing sources of stress, and prioritising customers.
