Join us for this in-person event with Al Moors, Wellbeing and Leadership Coach.

  • The mind has immense power, but it turns out that it’s a two-way street. Your mind influences your body and vice versa. There’s a whole heap of neuroscience that shows how feeling ‘in your body’ and moving in slightly different ways influences the mind.  Embodiment coaches use a gentle combination of posture, breathing and movement to explore moving in different ways. That helps our minds to relax, focus and to think in different ways.  It helps us let go of some of the stuff that holds us back and creates space for new. I use carefully chosen music because this helps us connect with our feelings.
  • I’m Al Moors – I am a Human Factors Practitioner in the Rail Industry currently helping with a retrofit project of ETCS to freight locomotives. I’m also a wellbeing and leadership coach with a specialism in embodiment. What is embodiment coaching? It is coaching the body. We spend so much time these days thinking and in our heads that we tend to get disconnected from our bodies and how they feel. Do you, like me, miss breakfast or lunch or even a drink of water as you are busy, busy, busy? From an early age we learn to not listen to our bodies.  Embodiment coaching helps us listen to our bodies and take control. When we feel relaxed, grounded, present in our physical body this helps our mind be calm and focused and we find that things just flow easier.
  • I am passionate about embodiment coaching because I’ve read the science behind it and I’ve felt and seen the results first hand.  How is it helpful to you as Women in Rail?
  • If you sometimes feel squeezed by the demands of home or work this can help you shed some of the everyday pressures and feel more relaxed and fully present to yourself.
  • You can expect to experience an hour or so of gentle movement to music in a safe and comfortable space, and you can expect to leave feeling – oooh well – that’s difficult to say, my invitation to you would be to leave feeling LIGHTER.

Thanks to our Sponsors Ganymede (refreshments) and The Mental Wealth (providing music)
