To celebrate International Women in Engineering Day, the Women in Rail North West Group would like to welcome you to join us at our Women in Engineering event on Monday 24th June at the Science and Industry Museum, Manchester.

2019 represents the centenary year of the Women in Engineering Society (WES), we’re looking at the skills gap which is still so evident in our industry and how we can help to bridge it.  We’ll have:

  • Guest speakers; including members from WES, a European WICE Awards judge,
  • A panel of experience; including RSSB and education routes, what it’s like to be an apprentice engineer and a woman in construction, all happy to answer questions from you!
  • Coaching advice around communication in the construction industry between men and women
  • Information on WR’s mentoring scheme

Remember, WR is not just for girls…bring along the boys too. We don’t just want to preach to the choir!

This event is kindly sponsored by J Murphy & Sons, & Morson.
