EVENT CANCELLED

Apologies, due to the weather in Scotland, tonight’s event has been cancelled.

WRS hope to reschedule this event in the near future.

We are delighted to welcome the Scottish Business Resilience Centre and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to our first event of 2019.

Hear from the Ethical Hacking team at Curious Frank, a division of the SBRC, on the latest cyber threats that we all face on a day to day basis. Find out how we all leak information about ourselves and our businesses and how this can lead to a Cyber attack. The team will highlight some of the common mistakes that many of us make when it comes to Cyber Security and how we can some simple things to protect ourselves better.

The Scottish Business Resilience Centre (SBRC) is a highly respected non-profit organisation which exists to support and help protect Scottish businesses. We work in partnership across multi agencies and business communities to protect people, places and processes and are constantly supporting new ways to keep businesses free from risk.

Our unique connection to Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Scottish Government gives us exclusive access to the latest information on legislation, criminal trends and threats, allowing us to provide the very best advice to safeguard your staff, customers and business.

We offer a wide range of business resilience and membership services delivered by our expert team of trusted professionals, seconded police and fire officers and innovative Ethical Hackers from Abertay University.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has very kindly offered to host our event at their headquarters in Cambuslang where there is a Safe and Well House at which SFRS has very kindly offered us tours.  The Safe and Well House recreates a domestic environment with hidden hazards and is an excellent training/awareness for fire safety in the home.

It was opened in September 2017 by Annabelle Ewin and has proved popular with partners with hundreds of visitors since opening. SFRS currently carry out around 70,000 home fire safety visits a year in an effort to make our communities safer from fire.

Please join us – this is sure to be a great event and the start of a great year of events for Women in Rail Scotland!
