Come and join the Women in Rail Scotland team at a special event this August.

Very kindly hosted by QTS and in partnership with Network Rail, COWI and Fairhurst, the event is taking place at QTS HQ at Rench Farm, Drumclog, Strathaven at 6pm on Thursday 22nd August 2019.

Please register here to attend: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/rail-engineering-event-tickets-64166055399.  If you have any questions, please contact Lisa McGhee – lisamcghee@qtsgroup.com

As well as a relaxed summer BBQ, you will hear from the engineering team who assess and remediate soil and rock slopes across the Scottish Railway Network. Representatives from Network Rail, COWI, Fairhurst and QTS will share some of the work they have undertaken while working on site (in all weather conditions!), including some great photographs and videos, before giving a brief overview of the personal routes they each took to developing their careers in the Scottish Rail industry. Afterwards, why not have a go at QTS’s fantastic rope access facilities – this is how the team gain access to steep rock slopes within the railway corridor.

When travelling to the QTS HQ, the office is located directly on the A71 between Strathaven and Darvel. It is visible from the A71. Do not follow sat nav directions instructing you to turn off at any point on this road.
