Sikh & Punjab History: Stories from across the GB rail network

Due to popular demand, we were delighted to welcome Rav Singh, founder of ‘A Little History of the Sikhs’, a community initiative, to take us on a unique journey during the 5th anniversary of South Asian Heritage Month (SAHM).

The cities and communities that are connected by rail reveal a wealth of Sikh, Anglo-Sikh, and Punjab history.

Rav Singh, with his invaluable historical insight, will talk us through stories from Sikh and Punjab history, linking it to the rail network.

Rav Singh, a Sikh historian, and researcher, as well as a curator for the Royal Palaces, is also currently running an exhibition at Hampton Court Palace.

Thanks to all the cross industry colleagues who joined us online.

A cross industry collaboration marking the SAHM theme: #FreeToBeMe

With thanks to: Women in Rail, Network Rail’s Multi-Faith network and TfL’s Sikh network.
