‘Women in Rail’, ‘Rail Unites for Inclusion’ and ‘Network Rail’s Multi Faith Network’ welcome you to join this event as part of celebrations to mark South Asian Heritage Month
What do you know about the Sikh faith?
You might be wondering why Sikhs wear a turban?
Why do they carry a kirpan (sword)?
Where did the faith originate from?
Sikhism was born in the Punjab area of South Asia, which now falls into the present day states of India and Pakistan.
Sikhism advocates equality, social justice, service to humanity, and tolerance for other religions.
The Sikhs and Britain have a long and storied history dating as far back as the 1800s.
Supporting the EDI Charter, Women in Rail, Rail Unites for Inclusion and Network Rail’s Multi faith network welcomes our speaker from the organisation “Basics of Sikhi”
