Women in Rail Scotland and Women in Transport are thrilled to announce an exciting event, celebrating both 200 years of the modern railway, and the 20th anniversary of Women in Transport.
Featuring a host of inspirational women within the Scottish transport sector, we invite you to join us at the Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh on Thursday 5th June to hear tales from their journeys and their experience of climbing the ladder through some of the most male dominated of environments.
Transport Minister, Fiona Hyslop will deliver a keynote speech, before for what promises to be a lively and informative panel discussion featuring:
- Hannah Ross – CEO, Scottish Rail Holdings
- Joanne Maguire – MD, ScotRail
- Valerie Davidson – CEO, SPT
- Stephanie Tobyn – Director, ORR
- Alison Irvine – CEO, Transport Scotland
- Diane Burke – COO, Calmac
Facilitated by Eva MacInnes, Vice President, COWI UK and Women in Rail Scotland steering group member, this discussion will delve into the heart of the stories of these inspiring female leaders.
Registration will begin from 5.30pm, with the event kicking off at 6.00pm prompt. The event will close at 8pm, following the keynote and panel event, with networking and refreshments.
