📖❄️ December Book Club ❄️📖
After an amazing October Book Club, that encouraged deep and inspiring conversations about menopause and it’s affects, as well as great ally input and how women can be supported at work, we’re following with ‘Lessons in Chemisty’ by Bonnie Garmus.
It tells the story of Elizabeth Zott, who becomes a beloved cooking show host in 1960s Southern California after being fired as a chemist four years earlier, after facing workplace misogyny. An original story about empowerment, romance, and tragedy.
It confronts mid-century gender roles, workplace discrimination, and the marginalization of women. And uses education and scientific logic to push back against societal expectations.”
Described as “an unlikely blend of fairytale meets feminist manifesto” it’s set to be a great read and great discussion in the next club
