Beyond Tired: Why Women Burn Out Faster
Thursday 29th January 2026
12:00 – 13:00
Now let’s be honest — the word burnout is everywhere right now. Both women and men are feeling it. If you’re not there already, you feel you might be… perhaps every cold is dragging you down or if you sit down you’re afraid you’ll never get back up.
It’s a very real thing — burnout has become the norm for so many as our fast-paced society demands more and more:
• the constant juggling between work and home
• the family expectations
• the never-ending to-do lists and emails …and the sense that life’s pace has crept way beyond what feels human.
It’s no wonder so many of us are running on fumes. But still we keep pushing through. And while everybody is feeling it, women are burning out 60% faster than our male counterparts.
The consequences on our careers, our homelives and our self-esteem can be catastrophic.
Everywhere you look there’s a “new year, new you” challenge shouting at you to overhaul your entire life by next Tuesday: join a gym, transform everything, become a shinier version of yourself. But pushing even harder isn’t going to help. You’re exhausted. Bone-tired. And you can’t seem to get enough sleep. Honestly? For most of us, we don’t need more pressure — we’re already running on empty.
In this session, we’re not going to sell you a new programme or tell you how to chase a shiny new goal. Think of it as pressing pause — a gentle reset for one hour. A little pocket of calm.
We’ll focus on small, doable habits that genuinely help without piling more on your plate. We’ll gently walk through five key wellbeing themes designed to support lasting, sustainable change — the kind that actually fits into your real life, in all its messy, busy, beautiful glory.
By the end, you’ll have a simple plan — something you can pop on the fridge, keep on your desk, or tuck into your notebook — a friendly roadmap to help you feel more grounded, more in control, and more you as you head into the year.
Take this hour for yourself. Breathe. Reset.
You absolutely deserve it.
And you absolutely need it.
Wendy McCristal, MD and experienced woman’s coach from The Mental Wealth Company will be sharing her top tips that helped her rebuild her life after experiencing her own burnout 8 years ago. Through this engaging, bring a pen and paper session, she will help you to formulate a simple plan to get moving in the right direction, so by the time the weather is with us and we’ll getting more sun, we’ll be feeling stronger, more positive and ready to take on all that the year has in store for us.
See you there?
