Kid’s Hour – Cricket Skills with Matthew Hoggard!
Join Women in Rail on Thursday 18 February for Kid’s Hour – with special guest: Matthew Hoggard MBE, former England Cricket star.
Matthew Hoggard MBE is one of the most successful international cricketers to have played for England. He played for – and captained – Leicestershire County Cricket Club where, after leaving his home county of Yorkshire at the end of the 2009 season, he had a very successful period. He was a vital member of the inspirational England side that won the epic 2005 Ashes series and has been a model of consistency throughout his test and ODI career, representing his country on 93 occasions.
Since retiring from all forms of the game in 2013, Matthew has become a much sought after public speaker and media figure as well as maintaining his interest in the game of cricket with his coaching.
Matthew will go over some basic ball skills, stretches and fitness tips plus a beginners insight into how to bowl a cricket ball.
