Kid’s Hour – Haka Workshop with Toa Haka!
Join Women in Rail on Thursday 11 February for our second Kid’s Hour with special guest Sol Cooper, Director of Toa Haka UK.
Made world famous by the All Blacks New Zealand Rugby Team, the Haka is a ceremonial dance – or challenge – in Māori culture. Haka is the perfect embodiment of unity – or ‘Kotahitanga’ – everybody moving and chanting as one, in one voice with one common purpose.
This interactive, engaging but fun workshop will give you insight into this colourful culture – teaching you about the language, the greetings, the expressions and the Haka.

About Kid’s Hour
Over the last 12 months, increased focus has been put on the need to safeguard our mental health during the prolonged periods of lockdown. As we move into Spring, the emphasis is put on the need to protect the mental wellbeing of children.
To support #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek 2021, Women in Rail has launched a series of weekly after school sessions – Kid’s Hour. Kid’s Hour will take place every Thursday afternoon at 4pm and consist of free one hour online fun and educational sessions for the younger members of our community.
