In celebration of National Women in Engineering Day, Women in Rail Scotland is proud to announce a very special event on the 21st of June, focusing on ‘diversity – the key to the future success of rail.’

This event will celebrate diversity within the rail sector and why more is needed to continue the growth and development of our industry. We’ll be hearing from some impressive guest speakers including:
• Jenny Gilruth, Transport Minister for Scotland
• Joanne McGuire, Chief Operating Officer for ScotRail
• Heather Waugh – Scotland’s only female freight driver and Women in Rail Scotland steering group member
• Karen Wallace – Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Manager, ScotRail
The event will be compered by Women in Rail Scotland Steering Group member and Hitachi Head of Sales (Commuter), Lorna McDonald.
