In celebration of the 10th Anniversary of Women in Rail, the Scottish Regional Group is proud to announce a very special event on 13th September, focusing on ‘diversity – the key to the future success of rail.’

This event will celebrate diversity within the rail sector and why more is needed to continue the growth and development of our industry. We’ll be hearing from some impressive guest speakers including:

  • Jenny Gilruth – Transport Minister for Scotland
  • Heather Waugh – Scotland’s only female freight driver and Women in Rail Scotland steering group member
  • Joanne Maguire – Chief Operating Officer for ScotRail
  • Karen Wallace – Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Manager, ScotRail

The event will be compered by Women in Rail Scotland Steering Group member and Hitachi Head of Sales (Commuter), Lorna McDonald.
