Women in Rail Scotland is delighted to be holding an event in partnership with Women in Transport with key speaker, Rajinder Pryor, senior account manager at Network Rail Telecoms and Women in Rail trustee, who has recently been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for services to diversity and inclusion.
Please join us on Thursday 22 July 2021 at 5pm-6pm and hear from Rajinder as she shares her personal experiences and role as a senior leader, her professional development journey and also her thoughts about what challenges and opportunities lie ahead for women in the transport industry.
Rajinder said: “Oh my, it’s been a journey! But you know the one thing I’ve realised….dig deep for that grit – we all have it within us.”
The event will provide a chance to ask questions to Rajinder and will be followed by a short networking session to discuss key learnings and take away points from Rajinder’s experience.

About Rajinder
Since joining Network Rail in 2005, Rajinder has worked in different roles on a range of strategic projects and programmes across various functions and routes – focusing on customer service, communications, culture change. A certified APMG change management practitioner she is enthused in driving change, thriving on the challenges and the opportunities this brings.
Rajinder started her career in the retail industry, receiving industry sponsorship whilst working for leading high-street retailers implementing technology solutions and associated business change.
She then joined the IT and management consultancy Logica (now part of CGI) within their Industry, Transport and Distribution arm of the business. Rajinder worked with a range of clients – In both the private and public sectors on large-scale IT projects and in presales.
Rajinder is a committed Diversity and Inclusion champion, supporting across Network Rail’s employee networks but currently actively involved with ‘Cultural Fusion’ (race) and ‘Archway’ (LGBT+). Rajinder has been very vocal in raising greater awareness of domestic abuse over the years. As well as collaborating with various charities and partners she has led in promoting the roll out of ‘Online Safe Spaces’ on websites within the rail industry and an advocate for White Ribbon UK.
In June 2019 she was appointed as a trustee to the Board of Women in Rail. Prior to that in April 2018 she was awarded Inspirational Woman of the Year by Women in Rail and attended a garden party at Buckingham Palace in recognition of her work with various networks.
