Interested in Engineering? Work in the rail industry? Want to understand what your engineering colleagues do all day? Have a daughter/son interested in engineering? Come to our social WR Yorkshire event on Friday 23rd June!

In order to make visible and celebrate the diversity of roles that women occupy in rail/engineering, we would like to bring together women (and men!) from across Yorkshire on 23rd June in the York Theatre Royal bar (St Leonard’s Place, York, YO1 7HD) at 5.30pm next Friday for an informal networking event.

We encourage you to attend wearing your ‘typical’ work clothes – whether that be PPE, a uniform, an office suit or jeans), as there might be a photo opportunity! Contact Jenny Cooke on Twitter: @womeninrail #INWED2017.

Later in the evening on 23rd June one of the WR Yorkshire Committee members (Jenny Cooke) is performing in the outstanding play Everything is Possible: The York Suffragettes which charts the involvement of suffragettes in York. The play starts outside the Minster at 7.15pm.

There will be WR Yorkshire members attending the play (so you can carry on your networking). You can still get tickets on the theatre’s website: https://www.yorktheatreroyal.co.uk/event/everything_is_possible.php#.WUKoWU1Pq1s

We look forward to seeing you on Friday!

Best wishes,

The WR Yorkshire steering committee.
