How do you see the future of rail?

Women in Rail is pleased to support this initiative from Gold Corporate Member Mott MacDonald. Its three-minute Global Rail Survey is gathering views from rail professionals on the issues shaping the industry’s future, including skills, workforce capability, digital technology and AI.

For every 10 UK responses received, Mott MacDonald will fund a rail-focused mentoring placement through One Million Mentors. Through our own Mentoring Programme, we see the impact mentoring can have. That’s why we’re delighted to support an initiative that helps shape the future of rail whilst investing in the people who will drive it.

Share your views and support future rail talent

What will rail need to succeed in the years ahead? How will emerging technologies, changing skills requirements and workforce challenges influence the future of the industry?

Mott MacDonald’s Global Rail Survey is seeking perspectives from rail professionals across the sector to help answer these questions. The survey explores topics including:

  • Skills and workforce capability
  • Digital technology and AI
  • Resilience and delivery
  • Future industry priorities
  • The challenges and opportunities facing rail worldwide

The findings will provide valuable insights into how views differ across disciplines, organisations and countries, helping to build a broader picture of the future direction of the industry.

Supporting the next generation

The initiative also has a direct impact beyond the survey itself.

For every 10 UK responses received, Mott MacDonald will fund a rail-focused mentoring placement through One Million Mentors, helping more young people gain access to guidance, industry connections and insight into careers in rail.

As an organisation committed to attracting, developing and retaining talent in the rail industry, Women in Rail recognises the important role mentoring can play in building confidence, opening doors and supporting career development.

Have your say

Whether you work in engineering, operations, project delivery, digital, customer experience, people management or leadership, this is an opportunity to share your perspective and contribute to an important industry conversation.
