Routes into Rail University Presentation Programme 2015/16

Women in Rail is delighted to support the Routes Into Rail University Presentation Programme (RiRUPP) in its second year.  The RiUPP is a joint venture between organisations across the UK rail industry to address the skills gap.  The programme aims to  give students, at colleges and universities, an insight into the many varied and exciting career opportunities in the rail industry.

Over the past year the programme has reached out to 16 universities and over 180 students.  The aim for the forthcoming academic year is to reach 38 universities.

In order for this programme to be successful we need volunteers who can visit colleges and universities to inspire and enthuse the next generation to consider a career in rail.  A base presentation will be provided to the volunteers however this can be tailored to suit your own personal experience and to suit the audience.

The attached flyer provides more details on how you can register to take part in this exciting initiative and provides further details of what is required.

Working together with other like-minded organisations on initiatives such as this allows the most efficient use of volunteering resource and enables a consistent message to be delivered.  Women in Rail fully supports this initiative and we hope that many of you will volunteer and get involved.
