We are proud to recognise Darren O’Brien MBE, Women in Rail Trustee and a leader at the Rail Delivery Group for his ongoing commitment to safety, respect and inclusion across our industry.
Darren has been a powerful advocate for initiatives that challenge behaviours and promote positive culture change. He also played a pivotal role in establishing the Rail to Refuge scheme, helping survivors of domestic abuse access safe refuge through free rail travel, a programme that has changed lives across the network.
Aligned with our “Never Mind the Gap” mission and programme, Darren continues to champion gender equity, allyship and the closing of opportunity gaps across rail.
We are grateful for his leadership, compassion and support as part of the Women in Rail trustee board.
