This role will bring West Coast Partnership (which includes Avanti West Coast and West Coast Partnership Development) and Network Rail’s soon to be established West Coast Route together under single leadership. 

 The West Coast Main Line connects five of Britain’s largest cities, serves around 25% of the population and generates approximately £1 in every £7 of passenger revenue. It plays a critical role in Britain’s economy and in connecting communities across the country. 

 The IMD will align industry partners around a shared vision that starts now. They must oversee a transformational change programme to turn that ambition into tangible improvements in customer experience (including at Euston) and operational performance – initially over the next 12 months, and build a team to deliver it. They will also lead the work needed to support the successful integration of High Speed 2 (HS2) services, while making sure the railway continues to support economic growth and national connectivity.
