Celebrating our Sisters: Leaning In and Stepping Forward Workshop & Industry Networking Event!

Join us for an exciting afternoon of networking and engaging discussions at the Celebrating our Sisters: Leaning In and Stepping Forward Workshop & Industry Networking Event .

This in-person event will take place on Thursday 19 October 2023 at 13:00 at the prestigious Birmingham Centre for Rail Research and Education, University of Birmingham B15 2TT.

This event is a collaboration between Women in Rail, Siemens Mobility and the University of Birmingham. Designed to celebrate, empower and encourage Black women in the engineering sector. This event offers a unique opportunity to connect with professionals from the industry, gain valuable insights from our keynote speakers and discuss the topics that really matter when navigating your career.

Whether you’re a seasoned professional, just starting your career, or a student looking to enter the industry this event is perfect for expanding your network and learning from inspiring women.

Our speakers are Jacqueline Chinwe Stephen, a distinguished Energy and STEM professional, with an academic background in Oil & Gas Management and a Masters in Offshore & Ocean Technology with Subsea Engineering, and Henda Grion, Systems Engineer at Siemens Mobility, STEM Lead, Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, University of Birmingham Alumni with a Masters in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. They will share their experiences, challenges, and successes, providing valuable advice and guidance on how they Leaned In and Stepped Forward into their chosen careers.
